Thanks! It's a neat space little space and I can't wait to go back and check it out on a day with warm sunny weather to see how people interact with it.
As far as vegetable plants, absolutely! I think it would work fabulously for vegetable plants. These systems are typically planted to order according to what kind of plant palette the designer wants and so I don't know if G-Sky offers vegetable plants as an option or not, but I'm positive a similar system could be created by the designer if not or perhaps another product chosen. But seeing as how it's just a container filled with dirt and covered with cloth with holes to hold in that dirt yet allowing the plants to poke through, there is nothing that wouldn't allow vegetable plants. That is, assuming chosen vegetable plants could handle the verticality of the system. How cool would it be to have a courtyard with a wall of herbs and you could go there during lunch and grab a few herbs off the wall to spice up your lunch :-)

Great photographs of the vertical living wall. I love this outdoor space. I wonder if this system would work with vegetable plants?

Whoa! That place used to be a Days Inn? Craziness. Love the vertical walls and smart use of space. Next time I'm in Portland, I want to stay there :) Thanks for the great post!

Excellent Design to create a rich texture top to bottom. I am happy that you were able to capture some detail images of the vertical wall showing some insight to the installation. Thanks. Matti
